With the release of League of Legends Season 13 came the introduction of Jungle Pets. Jungle Pets are little critters that can help you as a Jungle to take down jungle monsters and are replacing jungle items and turning them into animated companions. Your options for Jungle pets are:
- Gustwalker Hatchling (Blue)
- Scorchclaw Pup (Red)
- Mosstomper Seeding (Green)
Each Jungle Pet is summoned by their respective starter item, which become available for purchase if you take Smite as one of your summoner spells. At first, all three are quite comparable. Each Jungle Pet will provide:
- +20% damage in your half of the map to monsters
- Extra experience gain from large monsters
- Health and Mana recovery after killing large monsters
- Bonus mana regeneration in the jungle or river
Jungle Pets evolve as you feed them treats (kinda like some sorta Pocket Monster?). Once you’ve fed them 20 treats, they will experience their first evolution, which will increase your Smite damage from 600 to 900. Your Jungle Pet will evolve once again at 40 treats to their final form, increasing your Smite damage to 1,200 to monsters as well as reducing your damage from epic monsters by 30% when at least 2 allies are in range. In addition, you’ll also receive a bonus feature depending on which Jungle Pet you chose:
- Gustwalker:
- +45% move speed when you enter a brush, decaying over 2 seconds after departing
- Killing a large monster gives you a 60% decaying move speed
- Scorchclaw:
- 3 Ember charges every half second
- Top-up to 100 Ember charges if you kill a large monster
- Consume 100 Ember charge stacks when you damage an enemy champion to inflict a 30% decaying slow and damage over time of 4% of their max health over four seconds
- Mosstomper:
- After killing a large monster or being out of combat for 10 seconds, gain a shield for 75 to 330 HP
- While shielded (and for 3 seconds thereafter), receive 20% tenacity and slow resist
