Free Valorant Skins: Key Takeaways

  • Most of the free Valorant skins you’ll get are going to be basic ones.
  • The Battle Pass is one of the best ways to get numerous skins for a cheap price.
  • The only way to get free Valorant skins is to level up.

We all know how expensive some Valorant skins and bundles can get. Not everyone is willing to shell out some money just to get a single skin. However, almost everyone wants to fit in and enhance their gameplay experience by using different skins.

So we’ve decided to find different ways to obtain skins without having to pay for them directly. Here’s how to get free Valorant skins in 2023.

Agent Contracts

Let’s start with one of the easiest and most obvious methods to get a free Valorant skin–through agent contracts. Each agent has an in-game contract that has ten different tiers. After completing each tier, you’ll unlock a cosmetic that directly relates to that specific agent.

After completing tier 5, you’ll unlock the agent itself, and at the end of tier 10, you’ll get a special pistol skin that was designed with the agent theme in mind. Overall, there are a total of 21 current Valorant agents. That gives you over 21 free pistol skins to use in-game.

To start unlocking skins, make your way to the agents tab, select the agent/skin you want to unlock, and activate his/her contract. All you have to do is start gaining some XP.

Free Battle Pass Skins

Another way to get free Valorant skins is by completing the Battle Pass. You don’t even have to buy the Battle Pass to get a free skin! After completing each chapter, there are free rewards that everyone can get. Mostly, these rewards are Radianite Points, Sprays, Titles, Gun Buddies, and Title Cards.

However, at the end of the 10th chapter or after completing tier 50, there’s usually a pistol skin waiting at the end. For Episode 6, Act 3, it’s the Monstrocity Sheriff. These are usually good skins that are a part of the bundle, which can be unlocked through the Battle Pass.

I do highly recommend buying the Battle Pass if you have some extra money. Although you technically didn’t get “free” skins since you still paid for the premium BP, you still get a ton of value from it. It’s definitely worth buying the Valorant Battle Pass if you’re looking to get a ton of skins without breaking the bank.

Prime Gaming Rewards

This next section is for Prime Gaming subscribers. Prime Gaming is Amazon’s own gaming hub powered by its Prime subscription service. Most people who use Amazon will likely be subscribed to Prime. What most people don’t know is that you can also get free access to Prime Gaming.

Prime Gaming includes a lot of freebies and in-game content for some of the most popular games. This includes Valorant. Unfortunately, the freebies aren’t always going to be skins, but they have been in the past. They have given away a Wayfinder Shorty before, and they’ll likely do it again in the future.

So if you’re subscribed to Amazon Prime, make sure to keep an eye on free Valorant skins that come with Prime Gaming.

Entering Giveaways

The final method for getting free Valorant skins is by simply entering giveaways. This isn’t a surefire method of getting skins and will mostly depend on luck and chance. However, it still doesn’t hurt to join a giveaway or two, especially since they are free anyway.

I highly suggest checking out some of your favorite Valorant content creator’s socials whenever a new bundle is released. Most content creators host giveaways for these bundles, and all they require is a retweet, a follow, and sometimes a reply for a chance to win.
