  • It has a primary fire that fires 16 rounds per second and an alt fire that fires 8.471 rounds per second in 4-bullet bursts.
  • The Stinger is an SMG that deals 19-22 (leg), 23-27 (body), and 57-67 (head), per bullet, depending on the distance.

The Stinger is the fastest-firing weapon in Valorant. It excels in close-range situations where you can overpower your opponents with a flurry of bullets in a blink of an eye. It’s also great for economy rounds because of its affordable pricing.

The Stinger is one of the two SMGs in Valorant. It features a fully automatic primary fire and a semi-automatic burst alt fire. It is one of the best weapons for close to medium-range fights, especially if you’re a little low on eco. It can even best enemies with more powerful weapons.

While the Stinger can quickly overwhelm enemies with the number of bullets it can spit out, it’s balanced out by a high recoil. This makes the weapon insanely hard to use at longer ranges.

Luckily, there’s an alternative fire that reduces the recoil and spread. It also gives you an ADS mode, but the firing mode is changed to a 4-bullet burst.

Best Ways to Use the Stinger

The Stinger is a great buy for those rounds where you aren’t completely broke but still can’t afford a rifle. It’s perfect for in-your-face type Agents like Jett, Neon, and Raze. However, other Agents can also use it to some degree if you can get close enough to enemies.

A common tactic when using the Stinger is hiding in close corners and simply waiting for an enemy to walk right into your crosshair.

The Stinger can also be used as a run-and-gun type weapon as long as you’re within around 10 meters or less. Anything more than that just isn’t worth it because of how hard it already is to control the SMG.

It’s not ideal to take long-range fights using the Stinger. However, if you do find yourself in that situation, make sure to take advantage of the alt fire. It’s your best chance to deal some decent damage or to even get a kill at long ranges.

It’s often best to aim at an enemy’s body before using the alt fire. This allows you to fully take advantage of the burst without needing to control the recoil that much.
