The Dallas Stars traded Max Ellis to acquire Tanev’s rights. Logan Thompson, a goalie, was traded from Vegas to the Washington Capitals, and Akira Schmid was acquired by Vegas from the New Jersey Devils. Kevin Hayes was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Tampa Bay Lightning made multiple trades, including trading Tanner Jano. The Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres also made trades.
