Blind

Getting flashed in Valorant

When you are afflicted with blind, your vision gets blocked out. There are a few kinds of blind status effects in Valorant.

Flash is the traditional type of blind you can find in other games like CS:GO. A bright light replaces your entire screen.

Agents that can apply the Flash status effect in Valorant:

Plasma Blind has your vision blocked by a plasma blast. You can still see very little on the edges of your screen. Plasma Blind is unique to Gekko’s Dizzy.

Nearsight is a type of blind where your vision is shortened, and you gain the deafened status effect as well.

Agents that can apply Nearsight are:

  • Prowler – Fade
  • Paranoia – Omen
  • Leer – Reyna
  • Seekers – Skye

Combat Stim

The Combat Stim increases your fire rate, reload speed, and recovery speed. Brimstone’s Stim Beacon is the only ability that can apply Combat Stim to other Agents.

Empress is a buff unique to Reyna when she activates her ultimate. It gives her a Combat Stim buff while also increasing her equip speed and empowers her Devour and Dismiss skills.

Overload is a Combat Stim buff unique to KAY/O when he activates his ultimate. It allows him to emit suppressing pulses around him and allows him to be downed when taking damage instead of getting killed instantly.

Concuss

Their movement will be severely decreased, and the fire rate will be greatly reduced. Additionally, their vision will be blurry and grayscale. They also can’t use ADS or scopes.

Deafen

Severely damages your ability to hear in-game.

  • Paranoia – Omen (Due to Nearsight)
  • Leer – Reyna (Due to Nearsight)
  • Seekers – Skye (Due to Nearsight)

Decay

Will temporarily lower your HP to gradually down to one. You will gradually regain all of your original health once the effect is over.

Agents that apply Decay:

  • Seize – Fade
  • Nightfall – Fade
  • Poison Cloud – Viper
  • Toxic Screen – Viper
  • Viper’s Pit – Viper

Detain

Your movement will be severely slowed, and you can’t use/ equip any weapons, skills, or the spike.

Agents that apply the Detain Status Effect in Valorant:

  • Lockdown – Killjoy
  • Thrash – Gekko

Heal

Heal will start to replenish your health gradually. Once you take damage, the healing effect will automatically pause and only continue outside combat.

Agents that apply Heal:

  • Blaze – Phoenix
  • Hot Hands – Phoenix
  • Devour – Reyna
  • Healing Orb – Sage
  • Regrowth Skye

Mark

Your movements and location will be marked by dark mist. It follows you for the entire duration.

Agents that can apply Mark:

Reveal

Similar to Mark, but reveals your silhouette instead. It will usually expose your location during the time you are Revealed.

  • Recon Bolt – Sova

Slow

Has your movement and jump height decreased.

Agents that can apply the Slow status effect in Valorant:

Suppress

Anyone afflicted with Suppress aren’t allowed to use or equip any of their abilities. It also cancels abilities being used and can’t use any abilities awaiting activation.

  • NULL/cmd – KAY/O

Tether

Anyone who gets the tether status effect in Valorant are pulled toward a specific location and will have a limited range of motion.

Agents that can apply Tether:

  • Trapwire – Cypher
  • Seize – Fade

Vulnerable

The final Valorant status effect is Vulnerable. It doubles any damage you receive.
