  • Some believe Extermination needs improvement to match the fun of Helldivers.
  • Comments highlight differing opinions on gameplay styles and potential for large scale missions.

Neon_Camouflage’s Insight

Honestly, they try to do two different things. One is a large team shooter with strategic gameplay, and the other is a small squad tactical shooter. I look forward to when Extermination is bug-free and is as fun as I think it can be. No need for them to compete.

Ghostile’s Take

I dunno, can’t really compare source material and the product like that.

Advarrk’s Perspective

Not really, STE is quite different. Even though I’d kill for large scale missions with Helldivers.

People still defend Starship Troopers but to be fair if you compare the gameplay of just killing bugs one is far superior…No one cares about your defense that “it’s a base building management game!!!”, it’s boring and there’s a reason it didn’t take off.

Can we not demean other games just because we like HD? Be better.

Final Thoughts

The Reddit thread showcases the diverse opinions within the Helldivers community, highlighting the ongoing debate over the latest updates and gameplay styles in the gaming world. As players continue to voice their perspectives, it’s evident that the passion for the game remains strong, even amidst differing viewpoints.
